The idea is to use with Headphones.

I don't care about the it's others features.

If you guys have a better option with a trusted maker to use my Cameron CCV silent with headphones I appreciate the suggestion.

Cheers!

I love my Captor X.

I also love the cab clone built into the Badlander amp, which is made by two notes as well.

So either, which ever, is my answer.

By the answer I would be good with both, maybe the best bang for the buck for which I am going to use, the headphones, the cab clone should do the job.

Mesa tells to use reverb on the loop to add some presence...

Captor X is pretty sweet. Great for headphones and a handy attenuator too.

Sometimes I will crank a tube amp into the captor, then run the captor into the fx loop of my Kemper for post effects

The Captor X is a very very useful tool. Amazing for recording.

If price is close, I'd do the Captor X.

If it is strictly for headphone function, either will work well.

Love my Captor X(s). They get slammed around here because of the impedance curve but I've gotten great results recording direct.

The Cab Clone is half the CaptorX price!

I couldn't wait to get rid of my captor x. It cut off so much of the low end and I had to work quite a bit to get it to sound great.

Ive got a basic fractal x-load that sounds fantastic now. Basic no frills load box with a great impedance curve and sounds really good. It doesnt have an ir loader, headphone jack or attenuator though. I just run it back out to interface for those things.

I like the cab clone IR . Which is probably close to captor x in price.

The bare bones cab clone is not in same ballpark in terms of features and usefulness.
Another vote for it. I bought mine when they were released and when I moved into my new condo life, I wished I had got the IR+ version with the attenuator built-in so I added an affordable one for those days when you need more than just a load.

Weird, I don't have that issue at all.

I've used the Captor X, OX, the larger Waza unit, etc over the years. I am not a fan of the Two-Notes loads and have had several of them over the years.
I finally settled on the Waza Core unit. It is a smaller unit, sounds amazing with the Soldano through headphones and direct and with all of the features on the unit, it just does it all for me when playing.
