Just grabbed a Hagen here and I'm still looking for a cab. Only problem is it doesn't look like anybody is willing to part with their front loaded 412s. Anyone have experience with the rear loaded Diezel 212 and the Hagen? Found one of those for cheap. How about the Bogner Uberkab? I'm debating between these and just grabbing a new 412F.

Yeah, you may have some trouble prying a FL Diezel 4X12 from anyone's fingers, they KILL!!! You won't be sorry buying one...used may be tough though.

Take the plunge dude, just get the FL4x12 Diezel. No sense compromising the signal chain when you've got the Hagen on top :D

I run my Hagen w rear load Diezel 4x12 v30/k100 x pattern. Massive tight as a virgin. I had both fl n rear load. Rear load has more thump fl more in your face but either lack anything.

I use a rear loaded Diezel 2X12 with my Hagen. It has a Vintage 30 and a G12M Greenback.

I think it sounds great, but I have wondered about replacing the G12M with another V30 or a G12K 100. I have not done it, because it sounds so good. It worked great with my Herbert too.

Be careful with cheap used Diezel cabs. Most of them (almost all) are US made and illegal copies.

WTF?

What cabs are you referring to in particular? My understanding is that before Diezel started making them in Germany a couple years ago, they were having a company, I believe based out of the New York area, build their cabs for them. The same company was also making cabs for Bogner.

Are you referring to a third party that was making cabs and slapping Diezel on the front WITHOUT Diezel's consent?

It's from a (I would hope) reputable store. Will definitely watch out though. Didn't know that.

Anyways, it looks like this thread convinced me I need a Diezel 412. Wild West has a rear load for $900 I think. Might go for that over the front load to save some money. Unless anyone says I need the FL. ;)

It's a matter of taste, but I had the opportunity to try the Hagen with 3 Diezel cabs at Jens's place. My clear favorite was the RL 4x12 with V30s. I liked it quite a bit more than the FL with K100s. But opinions vary as well as playing style. Try it with the RL and buy it of you like it. In my case, the RL is my favorite for the Hagen so I certainly don't think you can go wrong with it!

mmolteratx, I have a German Diezel FL 412 with 30s and 100s. I'm not willing to part with it, but I saw your post and I'm in a band based in Dallas and I'd gladly let you check it out if you let me in return check out your Hagen! Maybe then you can decide if you want to spring for the FL.

I will be out of state from 7-24th of December, but I will be in Dallas this Sunday for practice though.

I remember seeing an Interview with Stapfer about the cabs being made in the US for a little while. It went Germany>US>Germany. I would LOVE to get to the bottom of this and maybe see some sort of definitive guide how to Identify which Diezel cab is which. I have seen no authoritative answers on the subject and I think loyal fans and customers would like to be well informed and know the differences.

+1 on "How to tell German -VS- U.S. made cabs". I gotta gets a 'Made in Germany' one!

I use a Orange PPC412 with V30's and it sounds awesome!

Went ahead and grabbed a RL 412 for relatively cheap from a dealer. Should arrive around the same time as the Hagen.

slyvren, PM'd.

Peterc52. I have one of those too and they do sound VERY awesome. I like it even better now that I put 2 old g12-65s in an X with the 30s. It really depends on what kind of sound you're going for though.

I've been thinking about switching 2 of the V30's out with either 2 G12H-30's or 2 K100's, as the V30's can be a little ice picky.

2 V30s and 2 K100s are a great match. To me almost perfect....lil better to me than 30/75 combo.... :D

Yup. Though I also grabbed a pair of K100s to try in an X pattern.
