Cab for VHT D60 and Splawn Comp

have a competition on the way and I want something different for my D60 other than my laney loaded with V30s.

I'll probably just grab a Splawn 4x12 with SB25s in it for the splawn, but I'm kind of torn on the D60.

The ones at the top of my list are:

Bogner 4x12s
Mills Afterburner
another Splawn but with V30s


what else is out there under say 500 bucks used?

I've seen some good deals on the original VHT cabs on the used GC site. My personal favorite though for a D60/120 is an Orange loaded with celestion V30's and 75's in an X.

get a fatbottom 412 w/ p50e speakers...that is the best you can get for the Deliverance, and there is one in the classifieds right now for a good price, also guitar center's used site has a couple....that cab would also work well with your splawn

The deliverance 4x12 is my favorite cab on the planet and is an obvious no brained with the D head.

With my Deliverance heads Im using older(1990s) VHT 4x12 cabs loaded with celestion 25 watt greenbacks thats when VHT/Fryette was using celestions,unbelievable tone.........

The Cab is amazing, but sounds much better with V30 x 75 vs P50e.

It just does not sound as full as with my fatbottom or eminence legend loaded vader...the deliverance sounds "ok" with v30s but not the UL...the eminence cabs take the amps to a wholenother level soundwise (my personal taste)...a quick test you can try is using the graphic eq on the UL on a celestion loaded cab and on a fatbottom and notice the responsiveness on both.

My cab is not Vht but has greenback reissues and sounds killer with the Ultra Lead, hopefully it will jive with my incoming CLX. Of course I'm not looking to play Uber Metal.

it SHOULD sound good with greenbacks as that is what the fatbottom came loaded with before they made the p50e's ...i should have been more specific and said that the ones i dislike the most are v30 when paired with my heads...
