Sorry for the ridiculous question my F50 combo has:

1x 8 ohm input
2x 4 ohm inputs

The manual states if adding a Mesa cab (all theirs are 8 ohm) to connect the internal speaker AND extension cab up to both 4 ohm inputs.

So, in theory if I want to bypass the internal speaker and use a pair of 8 ohm 212 cabs, the 2x 4 ohm inputs should be safe, correct?

I'm assuming you mean "outputs", but yes you would be correct bypassing the internal 8 ohm speaker and if using a pair of 8 ohm cabs, use the 4 ohm outputs from the amp.

Correct. Two 8 ohm cabs plugged into the two 4 ohm jacks on Mesa amp.
Mesa amps are a little more confusing that way when adding cabs.
The load will be 4 ohms with two 8 ohm cabs, so you plug into the jack that is labled with the resulting impedance.
Basically, whichever jack you plug into is what the amps impedance will be, so yeah....4.

Ok cool. I just ordered a Splawn 2x12 and will be ordering a second. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't making a mistake as their cabs are 8 ohm as well.

Sorry for the mistype on in vs. out
