Cab wiring general & Those of you running X pattern ?

What is your ideal wiring pattern? Have you seen differences in tone with different internal wiring. Particularly in K100, V30 FL 4x12 use. Running wire stereo/mono? Also any experiences in tonal qualities in general with wiring in 4x12 cabs? Particularly Diezel Using (4)-8ohm or 16ohm speakers. Lots of info out there but what myth or fact? Who has Personal experiences that hear a difference?

Anyone try K100's on bottom/V30's on top in comparison to x pattern?

I had them left/right mounted before (G12K100 & V30 in a Diezel fl cab).
That left the possibility to use it as a 2x12 which was nice in theory, but when I noticed that I always use it as a 4x12 I wired them in X
and had better sonic results

i have k100 and v30 in an x in a deliverance cab, and it kills with the herbert.

what wiring pattern are you using? K100 in series and the V30 in seires then paralleled at the jack?
