Cabinet vibration...

hey guys,
I'd like to put something between my cabinet (splawn 412) and the head (Splawn Nitro) to reduce the amount of vibration from the cabinet to the head. Is there any kind of foam I can look into?

a piece of shockmount ata case foam would be ideal - I've never had much luck finding it though.

I'd probably just buy a live in style ATA case though. Or the lift off type.

Maybe can buy that foam from an ATA case maker? cause a good one of those cases isnt gonna be cheap. thats for sure.

You can give it a shot, I got sick of searching online and gave up. Yeah, the cases are gonna be $175 on up to $300 or so on the cheap. Afforable cases are pretty well made for the price. I have a 2 head+12 space that I liked quite a bit... other than the obnoxious size/weight.

I use the workout mats they have at Dicks sporting goods, cheap and you can cut them up to fit. MHenson turned me on to these.

Great idea! Camping foam mat would work good too I suspect.

Hm.. I like the Workout Mats idea. I'll have to give it a shot.

Although I am kinda leaning toward buying some kind of a small shelf/table that I can setup above my cabinet and use that. The cab kinda sits between the legs of the table/shelf.

Is cabinet vibration really that big of an issue for you?

I hardly get any and I'm always playing at high volume.
I also have the casters taken off my 4x12's so the floor may be obsorbing most of the vibrations.
