Cable Braid

Anybody know where I can get braided wire/cable cover? Like the kind used on Vovox, Lava, etc.? I'm not talking about the expandable wire loom like PET stuff, though. I want something that's a higher quality like you'd find on HDMI cables and etc.

Whirlwind sells a snakeskin product, that is very similar, and used in the same application. Comes in various sizes and colors. You just need to find a Whirlwind dealer to order it from.

It's pretty flexible, since it's designed to be an extra coating on snake fan ends. It won't coil up on you either, which is a nice bonus.

It's available in:

1 1/4" - $1.60 /ft
1/2" - $.75 /ft
1/4" - $.35 /ft
1/8" - $.35 /ft
2" - $2.75 /ft
3/4" - $1 /ft
3/8" $.50 /ft

I could get it for you, as a whirlwind dealer, but I'd need to special order it, then ship it, etc.

Techflex makes a covering, I used it when I made my own hometheater cables a long time ago, I'd imagine it would work fine with guitar cables.

Yeah, I found a retailer of all the Techflex stuff at www.wirecare.com

This actually isn't for guitar cable use, though. I'm using it on an RC helicopter. Just thought maybe the amp folks would know where to get it. Thanks!
