CAE 4 amp switcher question

Hi guys, I've already bought a CAE 4x amp switcher to Stephen here in this forum. It has arrived to me yesterday. It works flawlessly but I have a question to do since I'm not qualified at electronics.

It has 4 outputs, one for each amp. At the moment I have a w/d/w setup. I can connect the four amps and share the same dry speaker but there is no way to share the same output to use all amps with my setup.

Talking to him, he suggested me a 4 channel mixer between the amp switcher outputs and my wet racks but I don't have place to add anything else.

The switcher has many free holes, my question is if it's possible to add a jack and wire the four outputs to the same jack.?

The CAE is build to work with one amp at the time so I thought it could be possible.

I don't know if I'll get any groundloop or any additional noise if there is a chance to blow any OT.

Any input will help a lot
Thanks
Adrian

Hey dear brother Zach, from what I can see in your pic (between the million cables lol) I see yours has also 4 outputs, how you run the four heads straight into your setup using only 1 output?

one line output from the amp selector to the switching system.

From what I can see in your diagram, you use only one line out from amp selector (using 4 amps) to feed all your wet setup. It's seems like your amp selector is different than mine. Mine has also 4 line outs, but line out 1 is only for amp1, line out2 for amp 2, Line out 3 for amp 3 and line out 4 for amp 4. The 4 amps doesn't share the same line out.

From the manual: It doesn't go into too much specifics, but I don't think it's the way you're thinking. Seems like it's more like a multi-tap line splitter, for whichever amp is selected.

4 - 1/4” phone jacks. Amp Selector line outputs (4) signal present at these jacks is the same as that at the volume
pedal loop return. Useful for splitting the signal to multiple effects processors or power amp inputs.

I didn't have the CAE, but I did have the Egnater 4 amp switcher and when you switched heads, it switched the signal being fed to the line out to be from the correct amp. That way, you feed your effects and power amp with the right amp each time you switch. I'd be shocked if yours didn't work that way as well…

This afternoon I has some free time and I have opened it, it has 2 un soldered wires inside. I soldered them and now it works at it should. I was thinking it could be because the long trip the CAE had from California to Miami, then to Argentina buenos aires and finally to Mendoza.

Now works great and it's really silent unit when change between amps. I had some groundloops but solve it using an entech him eliminator.

Thanks a lot guys
