can A Friedman Pink Taco Hold its own VS

Can A Friedman Pink Taco or Splawn SuperSport Hold its own VS 50 or 100 watt amp...

What i mean is if you are mic the cabs and have a pink Taco and lets say a Friedman BE head or like...

Will the PT or SS sound like a "smaller" amp...next a 50/100 head in the mix.
 
There are sooo many things to consider here - everything from: mics, eq, mixers, etc... but all things being equal... YES a smaller wattage amp can sound jsut as big - and some would argue "bigger" than their higher watt cousins. The reason being that you're usually able to crank them up a bit more and get those power tubes working. Where you'll usually see the difference is in clean headroom - the smaller wattage amps will break up earlier and have less. But who are we kidding here ... rocking a Friedman is not about the clean sound ... not that they don't have great cleans (i.e. not that there's anything wrong with that....). ;-)
 
Got to play a PT through two 412s this past weekend at a buddy's (fellow RT member) house and it was absolutely monstrous! Seriously, stayed tight and aggessive and just sounded huge. We compared it to a 50w Ceriatone Chupacabra and it can hang. That is one loud little amp.
