As the title says?

Sorry if this has been gone over already!

Not really or at least not easily. The best that can happen is they can replace the board which I'm sure isn't cheap and would probably require shipping to Germany. I asked because I have a blueface and an '08 and I'd rather not gig with the blueface. Honestly though. Just leave it. You're not missing the world. Some people are going to prefer the 07-10 silvers still. Neither one is better it's just preference.

I doubt if Papa went all Frankenstein on the 2011 Blue Face. At most he would have swapped a few resistors
to revoice the amp slightly. I have not played one, so I cannot confirm they don't already sound close to the
2007-2010 models anyway. Why mess with perfection.

That's cool.

I know a couple of folks who would rather lose some of that compression on the silvers which the blues apparently dont have. Maybe there are other ways around it.

I am finding the blues have a little more compression than the earlier ones.

Thats what i thought. Maybe he doesn't like me then. I emailed him about updating my 2008 and he didn't want to let me tackle it and hinted at a board swap. I have 5 years experience doing warranty amp repair work too.. He suggested leaving it alone and I kept probing and ended up with the compression thing.

If You want a new board, You get one.
Just said there is no big difference.

Peter,

Bad joke about you not liking me. I was saying that after talking to you I got the impression it was not a simple modification and a board swap was the best way to update to new specs.

I do not know the price to get that done and I would not expect it to be free. Your suggestion to help compression got things close enough for live show.

I thank you very much and I am a very big supporter of your products. I must say that with my settings/guitar/cab and band the differences are enough that I surely prefer one amp over the other. I'm not saying either one is better.
