Can you Use the Captor X like a C.A.B M? No speaker load.

I want to try going direct through a Vertex Steel String pedal into my I/R cab sims, but I've only got the Captor X Load Box that has an IR loader. Is it OK to just plug into the Amp input of the Captor X from an effect pedal?

The Captor X is looking for a high level of input and if you try to use it without that happening, you will not be making it very happy.

If you want to use it as a more regular, line/pedal/instrument level, you will need to use a CAB M or go straight into your interface and use WoS, although obviously WoS doesn't have the preamp that CAB M now has
