Can you wire an EMG 81 and EMG SA to a single push/pull pot?

Currently I have a Jackson with a humbucker (bridge) and a single coil pickup (neck) all wired to one push/pull pot. So this guitar has only one knob (volume and switching between bridge and neck). I'm considering to install active pups such as an EMG 81 and EMG SA. However, I can't figure out if it is possible to install the EMG 81/SA combo with one push/pull pot. Obviously, I don't want to drill an extra hole in my guitar for an additional knob! There is a 25k push/pull available. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Yes, just make sure the Push/Pull pot is DPDT (Dual Pole/Dual Throw) and not SPDT. Basically, there should be two rows of lugs instead of one... six total instead of three total. Wire one pickup to one side and the other to the other side. I have this exact configuration with two Humbuckers in a Les Paul, wired to one Push/pull. When you pull the pot, it splits both pickups.

Cheers,

Caparison Horus's are wired this way, it can be done, see post above

i had it done to my horus but it was an aftermarket push pot, push down once your in single coil mode ,push down again ,which the pot will now be in the up position, engaging the humbucker.. bud royce did it for me but i dont know where he got the pot...give him a call

Wiring it is no different than what you already have. Just be sure to deal with the grounds properly as EMGs are grounded differently. Also, you don't need a new pot. Put a 27k resistor across the 500k pot to get your 25k value.
