I think it's extra disturbing that he just grabbed a random bird and took it all the way back to it's room to torment it.

I used to clean pools....one of the hotels fed this great blue heron a big plate of breakfast sausage every morning. None for the staff, but the bird gets a stacked plate. Ok whatever. Well, about the time I would finish cleaning the pool the bird would shit masses of orange stuff everywhere at the pool edge, which I had to go back and clean up. Everyday. I wanted to beat the shit out of the kitchen staff and idiot owner, but never thought twice about harming the bird...

I bet he gets more time for this than if he molested a child while on his Vegas vacation. I remember when they found a Florida Panther dead back some years ago. Some random person had shot it and they were "handling it like a murder case".
