I got offered one in a trade, Im not a big japan guitar guy. They seem overpriced, are they legit or what?

Depends on what you're trading. They are legit guitars, and can be fairly expensive. After playing a couple I prefer Japanese charvels and Jacksons though. Mostly the neck profile and cost for me.

Hardly BS, I've had several over the years, they tend to be very nice guitars.

Keep in mind they have the shorter scale (24 3/4"). I like the neck profiles on them, rounder than a thin Ibanez type but still very shred worthy.

Quality tends to be very good (no problems with any I've gotten), I've heard of a few stray QC issues here and there, but generally a pretty well respected brand.

They can be a tad pricey. The worst I tend to hear is "nothing special for the money", the best is "killer shred guitars". You mileage may vary, depends what you would be giving up with the trade and what you are looking for.

Great guitars...I have a TAT, and have owned several Horus. Another thing to note is that they have top mounted FLoyds...not recessed. So its a different feel for sure...but I prefer that.

Its an offer on my Engl Artist amp head. I’m thinking No, but sometimes gear can surprised you. I have yet to play it.. just got texted some pics and price comparisons. But it’s like I have a friend who swears by Ibanez And Touts his prestige’s as the best. But I’ve pretty much always been American made guitars. Carvins, Gibson’s, American fenders... so when someone says they hve an $1800 guitar I think, what would that get me in American??
