I have gone through the whole gambit of amps (from Fenders/Boogies/Fuchs/Pure64/Bludos etc) and this amp is (IMHO) head and shoulders above every amp I have owned.

Here is my Carol-Ann OD2 6L6 50watt combo.

Pretty much can cover every musical style I play (classic rock/blues/R&B/funk)

I made the wrong assumption about Alan's amps and lumped them with the dumblites and knock-off makers but was enlightened by Stevie Velco Fly that Alan was not about that and a Marshall head as well. Mentoneman's vids are stupid good with Alan's amp.

Would love to take a ride up to his shop someday.

Joe B sounds stupid good with his Carol Ann (solo around 3:26)

That's a great looking rig. Give us a full rundown!

Carol Ann
6L6 50 Watts
EVM12L Speaker
Crazy good buffered series loop

Bright Switch:
(ala Fender Twin bright switch) Affects both channels.

Shift Switch:
Changes the Range and action of the Bass Middle and Treble controls on the clean channel. In the up position it is very percussive and a little more gainy (rock/blues setting). In the down position it is more Fenderish (better for straight up Jazz type of playing)

Pre-Gain:
This sets the overall input gain for the amp. This affects both channels.

Independent Channel EQs
CH A Bass, Middle & Treble: Clean Channel Tone Controls.
CH B Bass, Middle & Treble: OD Channel Tone Controls.
Gain: Overdrive channel gain control.
CH A Master: Master Volume for Clean Channel.
CH B Master: Master Volume for OD Channel.
Presence: Global Presence Control.

My Board is fairly simple and straight forward

In the Loop
Wet Reverb
Providence 80's Delay

Front of amp
sonic Research Tuner
Xotic RC Boost
Mad Prof snow white (killer auto wah)
Xotic AC Booost
Lovepedal BabyFace Trem
MXR Vinatge 70's Phaser (Analogman mod)
Analogman Mini chorus

I just picked up an Empress Tremolo that will be replacing the BabyFace when I put my new board together.

I can pretty much cover any territory with this rig -- from Ronnie Milsap to Garth Brooks to Doobie Brothers to Santana to Sly and the Family Stone and beyond.

Pretty much the ultimate grab and go rig for the weekend club player.
