Carol Ann Triptik...Holy Sh@t

I just purchased a Triptk today. I am so impressed with this amp! The clean channel is amazing especially for a EL34 amp and the gain channels are just insane and very flexible. I have to take my hat off and bow down to Alan on this one.

Yeah- they use EL34s in really high quality stereo equipment but you don't hear too many great clean channels on EL34 Tube Guitar Amps.

Is the second channel like an OD2 then the third channel with ridiculous gain and clarity ? Kinda ?
 
I wouldn't say the OD channel sounds like the OD2. This is more in that modded Marshall vain in the classic mode but the best part is it does not stop there. There is also a modern option for both Channels B & C, so you can set up a bunch of different tonal options. And lastly there is a master for each and a lead master for both and when using the lead master the notes just jump out at you.........it is incredible how flexible and full of tone this amp is.
 
:rock: I owned the first 100 watter built. It was a very unique amp The gain was very clean and the dynamics were excellent. It had the CA sig tone. Congrats.
 
That amp was the absolute highlight at the jersey amp show last year for a LOT of guys. Huge congrats man!!! Killer amp without a doubt!!!
 
Whenever I hear the Carol Ann's even at high gain it's always clear NEVER fuzz or fizz- will be fun to hear his take on higher gain on the Triptik.

Sounds like an amazing Amp-you probably haven't explored the clean channel yet....I don't blame you.
 
I've purchased six Carol-ann's over the last 5 years and all I can say is how amazingly versatile these amps can be. Alan is without a doubt one of the most educated builders out there. His builds are extremely clean and quite unique. I think what gets me even more than the tone range is the low noise level. The loop and master volume are also the best in the biz. Enjoy your new amp. :)
 
throw out all of your previous misconceptions about EL34's . The clean channel on the Triptik will blow you away. Best of both worlds in this amp. Great clean channel with an equally good overdrive "gain" channel with additional lead channel.
