We just got these into the shop and they sound killer, lots of gain but still very open and organic. Very nicely done. Sounds like butter with my #1 LP.

Nice.

When you say your #1 LP, can we assume this is the partner to your recently discussed and delivered #2 LP??

Just asking, just asking....

I really want one of these. The clips I've heard are incredible.

Now that I can see the "revealing bits", this is truly a beautiful, um, Gibson guitar ;)

PS: Brad, maybe send pstar a PM, he's hovering over a CA amp as we speak.

i miss my OD2r !

being a strat guy, is there a clip out there that demoes from clean, to dirty rhythm, to lead, all with the same settings, to hear how much real time range the trip-r or od3-r has?

for both my od2r and my friend's modified DS-1 the lead tone worked best with a pedal driving the input. i wonder if the new amps add enough gain to wipe out that issue.

Absolutely! I owned #1 100 watter and sold it to a very happy buyer in Canada. Plenty of gain on tap and a very open tone.

Killer clips, man. Cool tunes. Can you give us a brief rundown of the Triptik?

IMO that was your amp, the trek through the sands of time and tone ended with your CA.

Alan is one of the last guys that I have any respect for regarding the amp business, all of the knitting circles I have never heard his named mentioned as doing bad to others.

Here are two songs I recorded with the Triptik. Gives you an idea of cleans/gains. No pedals needed.
OD series is way more of a bluesy, pedal kinda thing. Triptik is a balls out rock amp.

Cool and catchy clip.....Cricket Bat! HED PE meets Eve 6. Need to hit the Aussie market with that one.

That amp records well. How does it sound live though?

A little more on the head...

Its in the Marshall family but a bit different, it is not the conventional cascading gain stage design or diodes. Instead, each gain is just maxed out, keeping noise minimal and producing a rich blooming overdrive tone that emphasizes harmonic overtones and sounds organic and natural at any setting. The cleans are really good as well actually awesome for a channel switcher and takes pedals well. It has voicing controls on each channel (Classic and Modern)

The two overdrive channels are identical, each with a selection for Classic or Modern voicing. The Classic voicing nails those 70’s and 80’s British rock tones and has a bit less low end and gain than the Modern voicing. The Triptik’s Modern voicing dos the drop-tuned chug with extended low end and more gain on tap. Nails the heavy stuff while still sounding open and organic.

Its a badass. The one in the pic sold the minute I got it but I have 2 more inbound in next week.

Hey Steve the amp live is just killer, pretty much live or recorded just throw any mic anywhere on the cab and the Triptik sounds bad ass
