Celestion G10 Vintage 60watt 10" speaker?

I was literally given a brand new one in a box. I don't have a 1x10 cab.

Straight up, is the speaker worthwhile and getting a cab
Or sell/trade it on CL? I have nothing to really demo the speaker in to find out.

I would likly have some local cabinet make just build me a box which I had one guy say he would for $120 or buy a halfway decent 1x10" cab with a shit speaker and swap. And dump the other.

I guess it depends on the application. If you want a portable cab to use with a mini head, maybe.

Otherwise, not worth it. The only 10" Celestion I've tried that has a thing going on is the Gold. Otherwise, they just sound like boxy fizzy versions of the 12" models they're based on. JMO.

That's kind of what I was expecting. I put it on CL yesterday for a trade for a 12" Celestion. Let's see if I get lucky.
