Was wondering if any Celestion experts know the year/value of these drivers? Celestion g12-65 T3053. According the the T3053 serial number it could be made anytime between 1978-2011. Any help would be great. Removed from a huge heavy beat up old cab with no branding.

Can you take more photos of the basket and cone, particularly if there are any white stamps on the cone?

The vent on it makes it clear it's at least from the '80s I believe.

IDK if Scumback Speakers still posts here much, but he could probably help out.

No problem! I'll get some more photos up. Just want to know what they are worth on the second hand market if they are the 80s full copper ones,

So, you have the T type listed, but what is the date code? The 3120s are the Marshall labeled 65s, so yours is probably from 80-83. The 3120s were only used in 78-79. Those are nice speakers, my fav with any Marshall and most other amps. They usually sell for 100+ per speaker.

Thanks guys! I can't see a date mark on it but here are some close-ups

If they are 80s that's great! There are another two speakers inside this old cab that look like Creambacks from the same era.

If the cones have torn, but would collectors or builders want the drivers?

ML so 1978. I thought only the Marshall labeled 3120s were made in the 70s. If they are torn then a recone might be worth it, price is usually 75 around here, but don't expect to get that in resale. Do it for yourself and see how they sound.
