I've searched and what I'm finding seems inconclusive. Anyone with experience with these? From what I've read, maybe the voice coil and/or doping was different when they used the vented magnet?

Anyway who doesn't know what I'm talking about, the early T75s had magnets that looked like G12-65 magnets: there was a mesh vent right in the center.

Thanks!

Mine don't have vents but are a killer match with v-30 in a diagonal pairing.

I have a 4x12 with these, they are rare odd balls for sure . Mine are 15ohms and have the 1777 cones like greenbacks. And that's what they sound like, high powered greenbacks, same basic tone but without the cone breakup at higher volumes..I like them so far...

Yep ^^^ 15 ohms, 1777 cones.......and don't sound like the typical 75 of later production. Not scooped in the mids,no raspy top end, retains the tight lows. Should do a vid with all the older Celestion's I have access to....... ;)

Thanks guys. I think all T75s use the 1777 cone. The ones I'm looking at definitely have the vent but are stamped 16 ohms on the label. Interesting interesting.

EDIT: ok, so you guys are probably looking at something like this?

I'm looking at some T75s that look like this:

Yeah, see, mine look like that ^ but are stamped 15ohm, have 1777 cones, and don't have the vents. Those are 1984 models you have there.

i have some of them as well...forget exactly what they look like, but i have t75's and h100's both with vents.
