How is the overall quality(components-transformers-etc)of the Chupacabra.

Built very solid inside and out, real nice tolex job and ptp handwired inside that looks meticulously done and very clean wiring. Can't speak to the quality of transformers as I don't know enough about them but it does sound very nice and for a one channel amp it is very very tweakable to get multiple good tones. Gobs and gobs of gain also.

Like above, I can't justly comment on the quality of the components, transformers, etc, because I honestly don't know jack about that stuff. I can say that it "looks" very tidy and was built with attention to detail and care. The tolex job is actually superior to my old Quick Rod. I can post a gut shot if that would help. They're killer sounding amps btw.

The only problem I had with one of his amps was the chassis corner seam broke during shipping. The chassis on mine was spot welded and not welded down the seam. I bought a plexi model second hand and it broke during shipping to Fortin for a mod. He may have corrected this but otherwise seemed to be quality.

the quality is good. ive seen really good amps with broken corners due to these sipping assholes. they are throwing are amps over fences. the trannie weight causes a huge prob with just a small hit on the side. top heavy a little. I think what would be better is a bolted corner support. Im going to start doing those on mine.

sounds like a good idea Jerry,Mike fixed it up as best he could and he might have added that support in. He also pointed out that Marshall and some other makers used a solid weld line on the corners and they would be less prone to snap.
