Was looking at buying one. Anyone have one here that can share there thoughts on one. Thanks
You can get Plexi and JCM tones out of a Chupa or Yeti. The dual gains and switches make them extremely versatile. But, you can’t get a Plexi or JCM as nasty as a Chupa or JCM. A JCM could get close boosted, and with an eq, but it won’t have the lows without the resonance option. Yetis and Chupas can get downright brutal plugged straight in.ClintN667":1kbmjyhh said:I asked Nik whether it was a chupa or yeti plus a clean tone. I think he said its closer to a Yeti. I've been looking at Ceriatone amps for awhile but I cant decide on which one I want. I kinda want a chupa or yeti or an AH-50 but a big part of me would just like to get a standard Plexi or JCM. I want one to learn how to mod as well as play which is the main reason Im not buying an actual Marshall or Friedman.

I'm hoping to pull the trigger on one next month but I will likely get one of the hot rodded Marshall flavors.
The Yeti is the darker and smoother of the two. The Chupa is brighter and more aggressive.ClintN667":1h1z3jiy said:Beyond Black":1h1z3jiy said:You can get Plexi and JCM tones out of a Chupa or Yeti. +1 Check out the layouts on the Ceriatone website.FourT6and2":1a90u6mb said:ClintN667":1a90u6mb said:I havent really got a good handle on the difference between the Yeti and Chupa. Look at the layout diagrams and you'll see the differences without someone's subjective description or opinion.
