I've always just plopped it down wherever I could to practice. Chair, bed, couch. Now I'm in the process of having our basement finished and building a music room where I can practice and work on my gear. Time to think a bit more about a comfortable chair that works well for playing guitar. Could be as simple as an office chair with no arms to one I found online specifically made for guitar players (soundseat).
Curious what other people have found works well.

I use a drum throne and a foot rest. I play using the classical sitting position.

A bar / kitchen stool can work great too if it has a built-in "footrest".

Cheap flat workout bench i had lying around. Really comfortable for my ass to sit on, no legs in the way, can put phone down beside me. Seems to be working well..
