In my opinion... there is already a Peavey 5134 they sell now that can do this for you, and I know that others who have had a bias mod done on their 5150's and tried running EL-34's said that it wasnt as good as they thought it would be. You can always try it... thats the only way you can know for sure if its for you or not.

I dont own one, I have a friend that does and wanted to know so I told him I'd ask here. He's had the amp since it came out new.
