hey dudes! new video, I tried to get as close as possible to Eddie's tone on 5150, as always using the Axe FX 2 with the UltraRes cabs from OwnHammer! also first video testing my new guitar (which features a Seymour Duncan 35th anniversary JB, one volume knob and a floyd rose trem \m/ so 80s haha) enjoy! :D

if anyone is interested in the patch, here it is! http://axechange.fractalaudio.com/detai ... reset=2254

great job as always, watching your videos on VH have really made realize how awesome Eds rhythm playing was/is...how's that JB sound compared to stock JB?

thanks a lot dudes!!

thanks man! the 35th has got a vintage vibe compared to the regular jb, and it's a bit more articulate imo, the strings breathe a lil better! it's also a bit more midrange focused, which is good for cutting trough the mix, and also much brighter than the standard jb. the main specs are: single-conductor wire, rough-cast magnets, butyrate bobbins, and long-legged bottom plates featuring a special laser-engraved 35th Anniversary logo

You nailed it and once again your playing is just outstanding Rocco!!!!! Great job and do more videos!!!!!

I haven't heard that song in ages - and that's exactly how my mind remembers the tone. Awesome...

You F'n rock, bro

Nice! I think these cool vids you do really show what a creative and killer rhythm pare Ed was/is. But I don't want to take anything away from how well you play them. Nice to hear that pickup, I've been strongly considering the 35th or the Antiquity JB for a while now. Seems like it doesn't want to go in a guitar that is inherently bright. Now you have to go deep cut and do something of Starfleet

Man seriously great playing and tone. Well done.

Oddly enough Eddie is one of those guitar players that I will not listen to for AGES but then I hear a song and go on a VH bender for about a week. Just a phenomenal talent.

Great job!! You totally nailed the tone and the tune, nice!!
I think i will dust off that tune myself

So how are the Chapman guitars?

This was the only thread I could find with one in it so instead of creating a new, necrobump.

Have a lot of you guys played any Chapman's?

Okay, I know this is an old thread, but holy shit !! That was freaking awesome! The tone was perfect for this cover, but more impressive was the playing. skoora said it above, and I was thinking the same thing -- watching this cover reminds me how creative EVH is. The rhythm playing and timing is just so damn cool.
