I went ahead and ordered an Aldrich. I have one in my Flying V and love it. Hopefully I'll get similar results in the Charvel

what's your current rig?

I'm running a wet Engl Blackmore and a dry, CRANKED Orange Tiny Terror in stereo into a pair of V30/G12H30 cabs.

After researching, I'm going to try a Dimarzio Steve Morse Bridge and see how that works. If it's too hot Norton will be next.

Forget about the hype,
Curt has spoken : Arcane rules !

Anything wired by Rob at Arcane is great !!

I've wired all my Charvels ( from CS to USA ) with his PUs and I haven't been looking elsewhere since then...

Try the Duncan Custom first before spending anymore money! I think it's the best sounding pickup - clear, punchy, and cleans up nicely.

I have 3 Charvels and 2 have JBs and I think they sound great. But one has High Order pickups. Sounds a little different but I play that guitar more than any....

I have tried the JB, Distortion, Custom Custom, Alnico 2 JB, and Suhr DSH+................I "think" I am happiest with the DSH+.
I'm going to go out on a limb then & say, maybe you aren't a duncan guy then. No point in beating a dead horse ya know, ya tried 1, 2, 3, 4 + maybe time to try a different brand. I would personally recommend the motor city angel dust to you, aggressive, open voiced like a lot of the harder 80's music, punchy & tight.
