I don't have to wind the strings like on regular tuners. All you do is clip the ball end, lock the string into the trem, pull it through the tuner, lock the tuner down and cut the excess. Takes considerably less time than winding on a normal tuner unless you spend your days setting up guitars...

probably wouldn't rock that paint job at church :D but man that looks cool!

2 years isn't cool.

Nice! Looks better than the original with that strat head too IMO!

That is awesome, love the black headstock too. Than neck as some sick birdseye. Congratulations.

Why did you go with 21 frets?

My favorite guitars all seem to have 21 fret necks. I guess I really don't miss the extra fret and I like the old school strat look to a 21 fret neck. I have guitars with 22 and 24 frets if I need them. I guess if I could only have one guitar it would have 22 frets though just for the versatility... I dunno... :)

I like winding the excess on the tuner so that when I break the low E or A string, I just loosen up the nut, pull some extra off the tuner, snip, lock, tune and I'm back up jamming again in a minute or two.

What a cool guitar, and the pic from back in the day! I miss the guitars from the 80's. The wild colors and graphics were so cool. Enjoy your guitar, it looks like it would be a dream to play.

I think I saw Steve with other cool Charvels at the amp show! If I mentioned mine. . . . . here it is. .
