Kind of liking this model, especially the flat grey version, but don't see many around. Any of you guys seen this guitar in person or actually played one? Thoughts, likes, dislikes?

Cool! How was it tonally and neck wise? Is it a Custom Shop Artist model?

I played one. It felt nice, but I wasn't blown away. I was really hoping to like it too. I just felt like it was little expensive for what it is. Maybe it was just the one I played.

What was it you didn't like that made you not like it as much as you had hoped?

The best way I can describe it since it wasn't any one thing that killed it for me is that it simply did not like "feel" like a guitar that should be $2,400. Regarding quality of an instrument, I just expect more from a guitar costing that much with regards to feel/playability, fit & finish, etc. Again, it wasn't bad and maybe it was just the one I played. Sorry to be vague lol, but that's really it.

I understand. It's hard to put into words. I agree the list price is to high IMO. I can get a much better price on a new one if I decide to go that rout. It's just deciding if it's the guitar I want. I love the look and features. Just do not have a chance to play one in person at the moment.

I played one it was really fat sounded and felt awesome, but I did not bite because of the price. I can get an Anderson for that

Thanks. Like I said I can get a much better price on a new one. Great to hear it had a fat sound.

Is the neck smallish or does it have some meat to it?

Felt the same way about the Jake E Lee model. Cool, but for about $1200 less than they wanted

Could truly say that about every guitar out there.

I found the guitar to be quite heavy and noticeably out of balance hanging on a strap. The neck is a flat D, not a T type neck or a SD type. Fretwork was shit. Sounded good. Been in the case for 2 years.

I know, the Kramer Focus 6000 I paid $175 for would have been REALLY cool if he had given me $1025 plus the guitar.

Maybe I'll keep looking around then. Really like the looks of the guitar but doesn't seem to be liked to well for the price point by those that have played them.

I've heard they are on the heavier side. 9lbs. or so. That's what Joe wanted. He likes some weight to his guitars.

So do you have one that just sits in it's case?

I looked at this guitar and fell in love immediately but then after seeing the price and playing one, I fell out of love quickly. The guitar is worth maybe half of what it's going for. My advice is keep looking.

At one time I was really wanting one of these. I prefer a fatter neck and this neck seemed very small to me. If I remember correctly I think it was 810 at the first fret and 850 at the 12th or something like that. VERY SMALL, sadly.

While we're on the topic of gray Telecasters, I'll leave one of my favorites here...
