Charvel Mod to pull up on Floyd

I recently got a Socal MIJ and noticed that you can't really pull up on the bar much. I have the Floyd set for floating but there isn't much room.
I am guessing you can route the trem cavity a little to allow for a bit more pull up. Has anyone done this?

Is the block hitting the inside of the cavity when you pull up? Or is the Floyd hitting the top of the guitar?

If the latter, you can shim the back of the neck pocket slightly to add more angle, which will in turn allow you to raise the bridge up further and give you more room to pull up on the bar before the tension plate/string lock bolts hit the body. If it's the former, you'd likely have to break out the Dremel and make more space for the block to move.

Sounds like a shitty set up. If it's correctly flush, you should have plenty of pull.

The Floyd is hitting the top of the guitar. It plays great. Just not much room to lift up.
