looking at a Wild card 7. I've never owned a Charvel but I'm a huge fan of super strats and looking to get one with a floyd rose. Anybody give me some input on the neck shape. I'm playing a Suhr Modern with a 16" radius right now. I'm pretty sure I'll like the compound radius but I have no idea what the neck shape feels like. Help me out fellas?

the charvel pro mods(which the wildcard is also) have necks that are shaped after a very favorite san dimas shape, it is a thin C with rolled edges very fast and comfortable! the MIJ wildcard has a thickness of .765 at the first fret and .790 at the 12th these are not ibanez wizard thin but very comfy in the hand.

Awesome sounds very similar to my modern. Think I might pull the trigger. I also have a Ibanez prestige w/a wizard neck which is almost too thin for me so thats a perfect reference. Thank you sir

You should check out my Demartini!!

I have a Charvel Mod 2 USA 2005 Reissue and the neck is awesome!!! One of the best necks around with the exception of Carvin necks!!!

The ones (USA San Dimas and So Cal) I have seem very similar to my Suhr stds. The Modern is a little thinner and more eliptical but I willing to guess you'll like it. The Japanese produced ones are suposed to have more rolled fret edges than the USA's. Great necks in my opinion, not too thin not too fat.

The fretboard edges are rolled to some degree on the Jap models as well. I almost prefer it.

Me too!!!

The MIJ ones play real nice!!! I A/B'ed the MIJ vs the MIA and I prefer the MIJ in playability and in sound.
