Charvel Pro Mod or DeMartini Charvel Pro Mod?

So I used to have a USA DeMartini "Blood and Skull" guitar that I traded years ago for a Les Paul. I kind of miss having a Charvel around the house. :) Although they are not made in the USA, I've seen great reviews of the Mexican Charvels. The difference between the regular Pro Mod and DeMartini Pro Mod is a few hundred dollars so wondering if there is much difference other than the associated name?

Thoughts?

Not a ton of difference. I found the Mexi Pro Mods to be pretty good, but you can find a stinker on occasion...but you could find that in the USA models as well. The main difference will be the RTM and paint job - oh, and you also get the pinwheel truss rod adjuster on the Pro Mod and WDM Snake. I don't think the Skull had one, but they might now.

I don't really think the Mexi WDM models really gave up all that much to the USA models - not enough to warrant an extra $1K+ anyway...

Thanks man! I figured you would jump in here. :) Yeah, I agree that it is probably not worth the extra money unless you are a diehard collector.

I just picked up a MIJ San Dimas for under $600 and its really nice, nothing to complain about except would be nice to have the thumb screw for the neck adjustment.
