Charvel Pro Mod or DeMartini Charvel Pro Mod?

So I used to have a USA DeMartini "Blood and Skull" guitar that I traded years ago for a Les Paul. I kind of miss having a Charvel around the house. Although they are not made in the USA, I've seen great reviews of the Mexican Charvels. The difference between the regular Pro Mod and DeMartini Pro Mod is a few hundred dollars so wondering if there is much difference other than the associated name?

Not a ton of difference. I found the Mexi Pro Mods to be pretty good, but you can find a stinker on occasion...but you could find that in the USA models as well. The main difference will be the RTM and paint job - oh, and you also get the pinwheel truss rod adjuster on the Pro Mod and WDM Snake. I don't think the Skull had one, but they might now.

I don't really think the Mexi WDM models really gave up all that much to the USA models - not enough to warrant an extra $1K+ anyway...

Thanks man! I figured you would jump in here. Yeah, I agree that it is probably not worth the extra money unless you are a diehard collector.

I just picked up a MIJ San Dimas for under $600 and its really nice, nothing to complain about except would be nice to have the thumb screw for the neck adjustment.
