This will be a custom select build and not a USA production run like last time. I have seen the initial list of models and colors. There were quite a few HSS configuration on the list with rosewood neck. I was disappointed because traditional Charvel guitar owners hates HSS configuration. Once I saw the list, I was like yuck..yuck..yuck. I wouldn't get too excited about it yet. The initial price that I've seen is around $1,900. I would rather place a custom shop order at that price point then buy one of these suckers.

Funny, I was looking at Charvel's normal offerings the other day I thought "why so many HH? They need some HSS".

They need to lose the recessed trem route too, HATE that ! On the plus side, I LOVE the truss rod adjust set up.

This!!! And tone knobs, I don't need no freaking tone knob.

I'm not at all interested in the HSS and recessed Floyds. Their price is high too.

Only thing in charvel i would be interested in is a PRE PRO remake
vintage trem,etc
something like this,

I hate that truss rod cut out, looks cheap and some mod a lazy guitar tech would make to a guitar. Also the demographic they would be selling to does not want that modernized crap or recessed trems. That's what Jackson guitars are for, newer modernized stuff.

I love that truss rod adjustment, WAY more conveinient than taking the fucking neck off...

Not a bad but mix in some chrome hardware every once in a while. Rolled edges, no tone knob and non recessed trems!

I'll take that style 2 right freaking now!

I'll whine about no Tele headstock, from the looks of it. And no 7-string Custom Select, of course.

Would Charvel have to pay Fender double for two headstock designs if they did a Tele headstock?

They already make some with Tele headstocks, like the sig model for that dude from Gorjia (did I spell that right?).

From the initial list that I saw, they're doing the same four colors for the HH configuration as well.

That's actually only true for a small number of very vocal collectors who seem to set the tone for what their "followers" believe is absolute truth. The HSS setup is preferred by many Charvel players (not collectors) that I'm aware of, and I'm sure many more beyond that. Function tops form for serious players.
Beyond that, the "traditional Charvel guitar owners" aren't the target market for these...those guys stick primarily to vintage and Custom Shop offerings.
