Cheap and easy solution to running amp through monitors

What is a cost effective solution to running my tube amps cranked to play through studio monitors for late night practing and some recording?

An attenuator with a DI line out. Resistive loads (hotplate, Jett attenuator, etc...) will be cheaper, but a reactive load (two notes, Suhr reactive load) will sound more real. Then something like Fractal Audio cab lab or two notes Wall of Sound to run Cab sims on your Computer. If you don't have a DAW software, Cab Lab has a standalone version. You will need an audio interface that has a HighZ (aka instrument in) to take the signal into the computer.

I like the Palmer ADIG PGA04. Nice dummy load and really good-sounding analog cab sim all in one, with no need for IRs and software if you just want to go straight to mixer and out to monitors.

This or the Palmer pdi-03 that I also have and like a lot. Have also the two notes torpedo live, but the Palmer is a simpler and cheaper solution.

Yeah, the PDI03 is the classic and it is basically just as nice, but I prefer the extra EQ control on the ADIG. With the PDI I often had a parametric EQ after it to sort of get inbetween the various modes on the toggles, but I seldom use one with the high and low knobs on the ADIG.
