I've got all the parts in my shop to build a ( 2204 ) 800/JEL running 6550's ..... turret board's already soldered up ..... just got to put her together

all SOZO caps and Vishay Resistors ...... going in a small box headshell tolexed with Plum Gator so it will look like this 2X12 cab I did a few years ago

Marshall Origin 50;

I have a 1959HW, JCM-900 SL-X, JVM410H, and DSL40CR; Bogner Helios Eclipse, and Engl Artist Edition 100.

My Origin 50 is a keeper; covers JTM-45 to SLP IMO. power scaling works great too.

won't break the bank, and I always see plenty used for sale

Berger/Jason @ Headfirst has some cool stuff/ info for the Origin

Just get a TSL that works and is cheap . It you boost them like a recto and use a gate they are really good .

JCM2000 TSL or DSL - they're both quite cheap.

If you want a plexi, get a metro kit or a ceriatone, both high quality, but the thing is, anything that has high quality parts you might as well buy a real one

You get my texts cracker?

Marshall DSL as long as it doesn't have the bias drift/PC board issue, it hard to know which ones would have the issue. Other than that the Ceriatone stuff is usually a pretty solid amp, the ones I see by me are JCM800 2204/2203's, Chupacabra's, Yeti's up for anywhere from $800-$1500 depending on if they are 50 watt or 100watt.

I would also add an EVH 5153 50 or 100 watter might interest you because they have multiple channels and the used prices are pretty affordable and they rip.

Plexi is an acquired taste, since you like to chug the JCM800 probably would be a better choice.

Marshall DSL 40Cr is totally decent for 749.99 brand new before any discounts. should be able to get 15% off and then you will earn some rewards points worth about 50 more bucks if you use MF. That ultimately gets it under 600.00 new. Of find a later JCM 2000 that is post bias drift years.. Very solid amps for around 600.00 but prices seem to be creeping up on the later years ones( no bias drift and arcing boards. etc. )
