I'm just getting back into playing guitar after like like an 8 year break. Gonna start playing in my old band again so went up to the local Guitar Center to check out amps and ended up taking home a H&K Tubemeister . This amp is just plain awesome! Anyways what are my options on effect processors that you could use the 4CM on. I was also looking at the Boss ES-8 with a few pedals but damn, pedals are expensive now. If that new Line6 Helix turns out to be any good just might pick that up. I read it will even do 7CM and 10CM and had a crazy idea of 2 or 3 mini heads all hooked up and controlled by it. Anyways what are you guys thoughts. Thanks

a boss gt 8 or 10 (and presumably the gt100 but i havne't used it) works terrifically well in 4cm and will change your amp channels too.

Line 6 M13 is pretty sweet.

I've been googling stuff all day at I think your right. It seems to be exactly what I'm looking for. Now just got to find a cheap used one some where.

Check out the Digitech RP1000.

I have been using this option for years now. Works great. I still have some pedals out front, because they are always rotating, and keep 1 or 2 in the stomp loop to kick on with certain patches. Sweet unit for not a lot of coin.

I picked up a new one a few months ago. Just started gigging with it and its great! Running 4 cable method with a pedal snake. Ditched my pedals and the mess of cables and no more tap dancing. Easy to program and adjust on the fly. Built like a tank too. Switches are sturdy, switch problems are what drove me away from Line 6.

I'm having good results with the Boss GT-100. I had issues with the POD HD500 and tone suck as well as the TC G System. The Digitech RP1000 is ok but it's effects are just that...ok. I like the GT-100 much more than the Digitech and I got my amp to sound the same whether it's using the GT or not. I have a Hartman FLanger and I'm still trying to get the GT's flanger to at least come close......still trying. But the other modulations sound good and the delays and verb are top notch.

For $300 used I'm really happy. While I think the Fractal FX8 is probably better than the GT-100...I doubt it's that much better.

I did play through a friends 5150 that had a Gt-8 hooked up 4CM and cant say anything bad about it. I guess the Gt-100 is the latest one right?

I use a Boss GT10 in 4CM with my triple rec and I love it. Greatly simplifies the rig... I use a tube screamer in front, EQ mid boost for solos and delay/reverb in the FX loop. The GT10 I believe can only control a 2 channel amp... So you might wanna look into that when you're buying a multiFX

Another vote for the gt10. The effects are more than decent, and the stomp box models are useful for boosting an already driven sound. And the looper is cool.
