I haven't made one ....... but I found a reliable schematic ...... nothing special with the parts ..... if I can't find what transistors were originally used at Smallbear ..... everyone has been using the current 2N5088 transistors as subs ... the original used BC109, BC169C, BC184C or BC184L

popular mod to these is adding a volume control at the end of the circuit ...
