Chiron into SuperDrive or SuperDrive into Chiron

What a killer combo of dirt pedals! Got to messing around with both on one board running into a Morris UK'78. Any of you guys have both of these pedals by the talented Wayne on here?

I like the Chiron into the SuperDrive then into the amp. More aggressive this way. The other way is polite and a tad smoother. Either way puts a smile on my face.

Dont have the SD but use the wayne808 amd chiron and it just works
 
I tried it, and didnt like either. I have a lehle volume pedal with a clean boost. With the chiron into that, i have God sound..

I have a UK78’ and mainly just use the SuperDrive alone. But sometimes I run the SuperDrive into the 808 Screamer. Don’t have a Chiron……yet.

I'm tapped out. I'll have to miss out on that run. Blacked out will be sick. One day, I will acquire the almighty Chiron!
 
I was supposed to write up a review on the blacked out Super Drive that arrived on February 22nd, nice packaging by the way, but that same evening my wife slipped on some ice and broke her hip. I have been in a hospital and hotel since then because we have too many stairs and she can't navigate those yet. I will get to it eventually!

For the two minutes I was able make sure it worked running along side a Boss SD-1, the Super Drive was a little bit darker. This was with the SD-1 second because I didn't want the Boss buffer in front of the Super Drive. Will get some time to spend with both hopefully this weekend. Will need to move the broken wife out of my music space first though. Going to try to hang at home today and keep her on one level.

Hey, you have to run them in isolation or the boss buffer will be affecting the sound and shootout. Do them completely individually instead of chained in any way.

I also have a Super Drive with that font on it and also the copper colored knobs. When I turned it on and saw the purple FS LED for the 1st time.... some special sweetness indeed.

Not a run per say ..... someone that grabbed one of the Blacked out Superdrives asked me ..... so I'm going to build a few more Superdrives and a few Chirons that way and put them in the classifieds .... you can order one from me anytime all the time ....

well that sucks .... sorry to hear it ..... hopefully a speedy recovery !

I use it into a silverface bassman. I use the Chiron set to a fat thick boost, then hit the 808 for a bigger sound. It's not a metal tone but it is nice and thick.

That is a good way to describe chiron. It is fat thick boost. Since my amp is already tight, that just gives me a punchy fucking amp
 
I haven’t tried the Chiron but the SD is the first of possibly hundreds of OD pedals that has moved my OG Sd-1 to the side.
