Check out the solo, Christopher Cross bringing the pain, 80s AOR style. :) Little known fact - he played a gig with Deep Purple - replaced Richie for one night. Crazy, eh? Looks like he can't find the pick of destiny.

Great post! Cross jams! Remember him when I was a kid....great how in the 80's(early) anyone could make it. Really....Baldies like Cross/Phil Collins would never even be given a chance these days. Fuckin sad state of affairs.....

Sorry for the rant, the wife made me watch the American Lip Sync Awards last night.  :D

I've heard that album in '83 over and over again - until I've discovered that Saxon had their version of this song :D

it's been a long time since I heard that name or song that was cool

Pete if this attracts TGP posters you lose a finger...................................

" Dudes.....RT is talking about CC man!!!!! Let fill them in on his Dumbles!!!!!"

"Yeah.....and how Bludotone copied the crap out of it and can be yours for $7000!!!!!"

NoNONONONONONONO

saw a later vid of CC from '98 and he was sporting a bogner and an Anderson. :)

Christopher Cross came into Tone Merchants maybe a year ago to try out some pedals. When he plugged in, he started shredding away. I was expecting sailing. Very nice guy and a great player

Christopher used to have the studio downstairs from mine. VERY cool guy. He almost bludgeoned me for taking his parking spot 1 too many times! LOL :gethim:

He let me borrow his touring Egnater M4 rig once so I could check it out. He's one of the original botique lovers. Was telling me about how he'd talk amps with Jimmy Page when they were on tour.

if you get caught between the moon and New York City....I like Christopher Cross. Never fails to bring me to another place and time whenever I listen to his songs. I have seen various youtube vids wherein he shows you major chops.

Awesome.
Classic tune and phenomenal solo!!
I honestly had no idea he shredded like that!

PS: Didn't Steve Lukather play the original studio solo?

Wow - blast from the past, and also did not know that he could play that well!

very cool! .......................thanks for the vid,Petey!!!

It reminds me of Huey Lewis's I want a new drug guitar solo, tonewise.

Great stuff! I never knew he could play like that. This will sound just great but have you ever seen Rick Springfield just jam? He is incredible!! Not to mention simply DREAMY :D !!

Man, that's great playing! I love how he slowly worked his way up the fretboard.
