Gonna try the Chup again tonight, and was wondering if anyone can throw out some suggested settings.....bright/era switches and whatnot. Im not a tard I assure you, but with the luck I had last time, I figured Id ask for help and see what I could get.....thanks, steve

Your prob the first to have one so ? ?
tell us when your done.

Well...i know there arent many out there, your right Jerry. Splawner? Dave? Anything?

I like it with era to the right, gain one about 2-3 o'clock, gain 2 10-11 o'clock, bright 1 in left position and bright 2 in middle(this usually is too bright if in any other position)master needs to be around 2:30. precense and resonance back off noon and eq to taste??? But I'm still playing with it. I also like era in the middle both brights off with presence up to 1-2 oclock to compensate for bright, or bright 1 left and presence backed off as above.

Dibs!

We had the resonance and bass almost all the way up...like 3 o'clock. Mids were halfway. Treble to taste...prob around 2 0'clock. Gain knobs around 2 o'clock with the first pot pulled. I liked the clip switch to the 80's. The gain switches...first switch to the brightest (left?) and tbd next switch to the right?

Resonance? Push pull gain pots? This is sounding familiar to me...

Looks like Pschyo has his finger on the go button, what is he trying to say? Did the 900 dollar amp pass the test?? :inlove:

She's a keeper for now Dave..

I know you guys are sick as hell of me posting about this amp....so one last post, and Ill shut up...I started with the suggested setting above, and tweaked to taste....the thing is, this is just a different beast. I mean....you take a 70's 50watt JMP , and crack the volume to 3, and your rocking the Cow Palace with that kinda volume...this thing, to keep up with my drummer, I had it at about 8 ! It's not the most powerful thing in the world, but once I wound it up, it sounded really good. I changed the power tubes to some XF2's I had layin around, put the Sylvania pre's in, played thru my 76 'B' cab with 55hz blackbacks, and it killed, and the guys in the band dug it too. So....im back where I started.....killer amp for the bones...Id go 100 watt if you really want the thump....just my opinion. Steve

Is anyone bringing one of these to James' amp fest?

I really want to try one.

I thought he had one on order, but don't know if he'll get it by that time. I'd be interested in hearing it with the others.
