As the title states. I've got a pair of Hellatone 60Ls in a closed back 212. I'm just wondering what a CL80 (real or clone) will sound like mixed with the H60. I'd probably go with a Warehouse Speaker Classic Lead just for cost purposes. Opinions? Experiences?

I'm selling some British Leads if you are interested. 8 ohm and $35 plus shipping.
The British Leads are very tight and transparent. Just a little too flat for my tastes.

I use CL80s mixed with G12H30s, it's a great combination. Big bass, very open tone.

Thanks, but I'd need a 16 ohm speaker.

(I'm going to bump this thread once for you because I'm also interested in mixing a CL80 with a V30 to keep it from being too neutral – or the V30 too V30ish. Somebody must know more about this... Didn't some THD cabs come with such a mixture?)

i did it and loved it.

the 2x12 cab i had started with 2 75s...not good, then went 1 75/1 cl80 which was way better,
then i did 1 cl80/ 1 v30 and it was the best of all.

another killer is a gh30/cele blue for vintage chime to downright nasty

I run a Mesa 4x12 with V30's and a Randall 4x12 with CL-80's. The 2 cabs really fill out the sonic spectrum and helps me keep up with our other guitarist's Uberschall and Uber and Mesa cabs with my JCM900.

CL80's mix very well with V30's in my experience. The grit and mids of the V30 blend well with the clean and full sounding CL80's....
