Am looking at these two pedals for clean boost. And I've got to say that the added mid-boost makes the Koko very attractive. How does the clean boost on the Koko compare to the MK 4.23?

I've not had the mk 4.23. Many people feel the mk 4.23 is the cleanest of clean boosts. While it may be better than the Koko, it can't be THAT much better. The koko clean boost is pretty damn clean. So if you what the absolute cleanest clean, the mk 4.23 may be the way to go. If you want a top notch clean boost that is at least comparable to the mk4.23, with some nice mid boosting options, and a really nice buffer (or true bypass), get the koko.

Never heard or played the MK4.23 but I have the Koko. Can't recommend it enough. Not only is it a fantastic clean and mid boost but the buffer eliminates any signal loss in large pedal boards.

I've had a few clean boosts and the Suhr offerings are definitely where it's at for me. I have the Koko boost and the Iso Boost.

you can't go wrong with the Sukr Koko, it's great

King of Cleans is the Mk.4:23Pro. It has NO adjustments other than dB.
Suhr has adjustments, so it's not actually simply "clean".

To each their own. I will never part with my Mk.Pro - not a chance. Magic pedal for me

Does anyone know is the Suhr ISO boost is the same gain circuit as the Clean side on the KOKO?
I love the Koko's Clean boost side. It's the best I've ever heard for my purposes which is a poweramp boost in the FX loop. Great for bringing your lead tone up or just hitting the power amp a little harder.
Thanks!

i've got a koko on it's way to me but i want it for the mid boost. Can't really go wrong with two boost functions in one box though!

The Koko kicks ass IMO!!! Great clean and/or mid boost!!!

You know, it would be way more useful tho if both boosts had their own separate outputs.
I love the Koko's clean boost side for hitting the poweramp a bit harder in the FX loop. In
that application however, you lose out on using the MID side up front and it sounds like holy hell in the loop.
So, I'm probably gonna grab the ISO as long as it's close to the sound of Koko's clean side.

Koko is the way to go. Awesome build quality aside from sounding killer.

I'm on the fence about these two clean boost pedals. I need a clean boost to use in the fx loop of a Mesa/Boogie Electra Dyne. You say the mid boost of the Koko sounds like ass in the fx loop? That sucks. I use a TS-9 as a mid boost in front of the amp or dirt pedals, so I have that covered. Since they are both good clean boosts, I guess my question is how shitty is the Koko mid boost in the loop?

I have a Mk.4:23 in the loop of my XTC, works great for solo boost. Gets me "1 louder" with no change in tone.

I've had a Mk.4:23 for many years now and
it's one pedal I have NEVER contimplated selling...
It's stay's in my Rig permanently, It's that Fuckin' Solid!!!
I already have an Amp with Killer Saturation & Tone
and the Mk. 4:23 Boost's the Decibles during a Solo break
to give you an over the Top Lead Cut, without compromising
the Natural Tone of your Amp....It the same Tone but
MORE OF IT when engaged.
I run it through the Loop without any issues...
The Choice is yours but my Choice is the Mk.4:23!!

Koko in the loop of my Einstein sounds killer. Both clean and mid boost. I think it depends on the loop and power section of the amp. Never owned one but for pure clean boost it sounds like the MK 4.23 is really hard to beat.

As usual, people have owned either one of the 2, not both, and are recommending the one they own
How helpful
I own the Koko, it's good
I haven't owned the MK 4.23
Hence, I can't compare both

As Usual..... :jerkit:

To clarify, I've owned both and sent
the Koko on its way.
The Koko is Great...just not what I
needed, the Mk.4:23 covered what I
needed better.

Wasn't talking about you, more in general (other threads too)
People will vouch for what they own
Anyways...
