Clean boosts!

I know I'm opening a can of worms because there are SO MANY boost pedals especially when you consider just about any od or distortion pedal can be set as a clean boost. But I'm looking for a very transparent clean boost that doesn't take away to much low end. Right now I'm using a maxon 808 which I was gonna sell, but I changed my mind for now lol. I like the maxon a lot, but I feel like I'm still adding a bit of dirt even with the drive off and it tightens up my low end a bit too much. I use the maxon for solos for the most part but sometimes for really thrashy songs I'll leave it on all the time. Right now I'm thinking about the fulltone fat boost, the CAE/MXR boost line driver, BBE boosta grande even the ehx nano lpb-1 because it's so cheap and actually seems to fatten up the tone. Music I'm playing is modern hard rock.

I've had both of these and they worked well with my Marshall's, but I always go back to the OCD & Keeley SD-1. What amps are you playing?

one of these is on its way to my house right now. I'll let you know how it works out. Ive also tried out the Boosta Grande and wasn't all too satisfied with it, and used to have a Creation Audio Labs MK.4.23 clean boost which worked great but seemed a little over priced.

I still say that you can't beat the EH LPB-1 nano. I have used it with many amps and the only one I didn't like it with was a Pignose G40v. I think it is because that amp has a lot of preamp gain already. The G60VR sounds fab with it. Keep the boost at 12:00 or lower and you will smile!

I've tried a ton of them and settled on the Z Vex SHO...best there is IMO.

Fueling my gas  All of these look cool, I really like that RC Booster.....

I'm playing Marhsally flavored high gain amps.... just looking to use to make solos a little more fluid/ sustain and add a slight bit of compression to the clean channel with maybe a hint of dirt if I wanted it.

BB preamp works amazing with the volume at 3/4 and gain all the way down

I actually use a Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster to hit the front end of the amp. Works great for that. I also use an SHO to boost solos through the loop. Man, talk about fat! Didn't really care for it hitting the front of the amp.

I've heard tons of good things.

There's a builder on TGP, called This1sMyne, who makes his own SHO-esque clone boost, and it's supposed to be incredible. And it's only about $65 bucks.

The Timmy and the RC booster are very good. Actually my fav is an MXR Microamp

That's the one I got. I should have said it was a clone. It does sound great though. That guy builds some pretty cool stuff. After I had the boost for a couple weeks, I realized I needed a true bypass loop pedal. He gave me a full refund on the boost, towards a 2 loop pedal with the boost built in and a master bypass. Only charged me $59 difference. So yeah, he's very cool.

Look at a Dano Transparent OD or a Seymour Duncan pickup booster.

Yep...can of worms..but for me I settled on the AC boost with the gain backed off in my normal rig but it also gives me the option of using it for extra gain in a minimal 'fly' rig.....

I love using the Bad Monkey with the gain down. I know I sound retarded but I love it. Best sounding cheap pedal out there.
