Ok, I always thought you needed to double track (2 takes, 1 left and 1 right) to get that nice stereo spread on rhythm tracks.
I tested playing through 1 amp VS playing through 2 amps at the same time.
I'm shocked that playing through 2 amps at the same time (1 take, panning 1 amp left and 1 amp right) actually gives that nice stereo spread you get from double tracking and panning 2 separate takes.
Did this test to see if it actually sounds bigger live playing through 2 amps at once vs 1.
Not sure if everyone already knew this but my mind was blown
