CLIP - Full Song Collab with ConcreteVampire Is Complete...

Awhile ago, I posted a song that I did that was based on a track that Bob Savage did on his CD called "Hip Out". He gave me the bass and drum tracks and I wrote a completely different song over the tracks. Originally, I planned it to be an instrumental, but I never got into it enough to finish it...

Anyway, I posted it here and asked if anyone wanted to collaborate on it by doing vocals. Well, Diego (ConcreteVampire here) was the only one who provided anything and he did a really great job. I finally got around to mixing it today. Anyway, here it is. It's called "Demons In My Head":

With all these demons in my head
I'm a collector of dead things
I simply have no respect
For any one of the living

I need me bright and shiny dead things
That make the noises in my head
Although those noises never right me

I am a victim
Of the snake oil salesman
I am possessed by these masters of magic and witchcraft
That make these traps of wood glass and steel

I am a collector of all these demons in my head
My aery is filled with magic
And their screams will fill your heart
with certain dread

Now all these demons rule
possess the undead...

Now I will wait for you,
I wait for master!

Call me to play the box, that knows it all

I'm a sucker for harmony leads, so I really like this. The lead riff at :50 is very nice. Some nice lead work throughout the song.

The tempo changes at 2:08 and 2:28 were completely unexpected. Kind of reminds me of some old Alice Cooper.

You did a great job on this, Diego! Thanks for doing this...

Sorry it took so long to mix this, but I like the way the final mix came out. I was able to get the individual drum tracks and bass track lined up with the guitar and vocal tracks to mix this so I had a little more control of things. The original mix I sent you had a stereo mix of drums and bass that Bob had given me early on with no EQ, efx...

This is all the Egnater Seminar Amp. The mellow parts were done on a Suhr with a piezo bridge pickup. Rhythms were done on an Edwards Les Paul and leads on a Charvel clone I made...

Yeah, I totally agree. I wasn't going for that particularly, but when I finished tracking the rhythm guitars, I was like, "Wow, that sounds like Priest..."

Doesn't matter. There are 10 guys who are amazing at guitar for every one guy ballsy enough to step up to a microphone. If you are man enough to sing, you win.
