cool clip man!!! I wish EVH would go to an amp like that.

jeezuz.. that's just not right :worship:

my head just got blown off (from amp and playing)

Love Bill's playing but don't dig that tone as much as the other clips you posted a short while back.

You don't? Man, I do! He's trying to show the different tones too, so that's why each clip sounds a bit different.

Nah, don't really care for the way the bottom end sounds. It doesn't sound bad, it's just not my thing. I'm sure a lot of people will dig that tone, as is evident by the responses in this thread.

Here's a new clip from Bill with heavier tones and some amazing playing. WOW!

Wow...great playing and tone.

I kind of like that vintagy sponginess/sag on the bottom, whatever it is you want to call it. Makes the tone sound like it's breathing and not so stiff/sterile.

I'd love to hear a boost pedal in front of that tone as well...

Sarge is right. I did this one to show that this type of sound is available. On this one, I played an old Carvin with an m22sd in the bridge position, tuned down a whole step. It's not my thing either, but it was fun. The speakers are a new set of Warehouse et65's. With about 5 hours ( or less) of playing they're getting real close to my Celestions.

Please don't misunderstand me, I think it's a smart move to provide a wide variety of clips, and actually believe my opinion of this clip helps to establish this. The other clips I heard (not the videos :) ) were spectacular. I like heavy too, I just like a different bottom end voicing and response.

In any event, your amp sounds killer, Bill.

I like the looser bottom because it brings out that Jake E vibe. Sounds great to me.

No wonder I don't like it. I think Jake's a hack. ;)

Nice playing! The low end is too muddy for me. Never been a fan of that.

Go get 'im!!!! :powpow:

Yowsa! Bill called me a few weeks ago and said he was gonna get a band together and needed a singer. Man I wish I could sing well enough to do that gig!
