I got this on Tuesday but only have one decent picture of it right now. Will get more of those later this week. I did however make some vids tonight, including clams and all, but what can you do? I also included a clip of a song I've had to write as part of my GIT course, in a pop/rock vein.

Oh and my clip...

Gosh I love this guitar

Epic guitar...playing and tone is very nice....sounds very strat like. What amp you rockin' that thru these days?

Nice vids and playing Adam! I love the Deliver Us in the second vid. How are you liking this compared to the Modern you had for a while? Just curious.

You should have contributed a solo to James Lugo's clip. You would have killed it.

Sounds great!

"Gone" is one of my favorite Timmons' tunes...

Sounds great, i really dig your playing. How are you liking the single coils? I'm warming up to using singles but i still did swap out the Fletcher Landau for a Dimarzio just because i just can't live with a noisy pickup. And i have found that the ssh+ is a bit noisey as well. But i do like the tone of it.

Here's mine.

Thanks guys!

Danyeo, I love the FLs. They're fat sounding but always clear. I know the noise you mean but that's the nature of - most - single coils I guess. I do love their tone though.

It was proved, once again, that a good player with good touch will sound good no matter what he's playing thru. Shitty player with tens of thousands worth of gear won't sound good...

The thing for me is that a lot of singles, the FL's included, are just to glassy sounding for me. I'm still contemplating a different pickguard so i can put a neck bucker in there. Not sure.

That's cool man, but it's exactly why I like singles so much.

great tone.

fat and furry with some snap when you pop it like biting into a real hot dog. :2thumbsup:

looks like you have the action low and slinky...did you set it up yourself?

Thanks man. I did indeed set it up myself and yup, I like it low  High enough to avoid any chokage but nice and low for comfort.

how's the string tension?
one thing i've noticed on many suhrs i've played is they are normally set up high with a fair amount of tension.
some love this, i personally like low and looser, but not hair thickness low with rubberbands...

suhrs always sound really nice and bold- like acoustically ringy

The tension is great now although it was initially quite a bit tighter which did kinda throw me at first and made my fingers a bit sore. I wasn't sure whether that was down to the fact I'd been playing a Floyded Modern for a while as well as the strings being about 5 weeks old (I normally change them fortnightly or so) due to me I not being able to be bothered with the string change hassle on the Floyd. Either way, it had higher tension.

Anyway, I was doing a bit of reading about it on Saturday and found a thread at HRI where John Suhr was talking about string tension and he mentioned raising the saddles to decrease the "active string length" I believe it was, and in turn decrease tension. I thought I would try it as I wanted the bridge flush down onto the body anyway and also, I was curious as to whether it would make it slinkier.

Turns out it really works. It's not Floyd slinky but I can find that a little much at times even with 10s but it's not in any way stiff either. It's right in the middle and I'm really pleased with how it turned out; slinky feeling but not flimsy  Actually probably the best set up I've had on any axe.
