listening to the unboosted one now, sounds pretty sweet...kinda what i think a jcm2000/5150 hybrid would sound like

a little fizzy on the lows, but it's got a nice texture about it

the boosted sounds a bit more clear all around, and more agressive

nice picking 8)

Settings on the non-boosted?

Seems a bit treble-heavy - just curious if that'd be the micing or if it might be relevant to the settings

Sounds good though - definately in the excellent deal for $500 range

Certainly sound more than "metal" enough for me, even unboosted...

Sounds fricken KILLER to me! :bang: I always set up less highs in my sound, but this sounds perfect to your playing! I think I liked it best UNboosted, then SD-1 2nd.
