One from a Vintage 30:

One from a G12T-75:

Both on the Ultra channel, both from the same cab (1960A), neither will wow you with my technique  :D

To me, the V30s sounded too harsh and the G12T-75s sounded too scooped.

Sounds awesome! I'm hopefully picking up a Triple XXX next week! The 75's sounded darker, and better, I'll keep that in mind when I upgrade my cab! Thanks!

I slapped these clips together with a metal drum jam track and blended well. They did not blend well :D

:lepra: :D kinda funny cause some of the parts are almost starting to line up then chaos resumes. :D

I prefered the 75's too. Wasnt expecting too, i have 4 75s in my cab and they always seem too bright to me.

Is you cab a mix of 75s and 30s together? Do you get a true "best of both worlds" scenario happening?

I have a pair of each in an x pattern in my 1960A.

If by "best of both worlds" I can hear characteristics of both speakers, then yes. I like it for recording more so than for performance. Makes for greater flexibility.

As fucked-up as that metal drum jam clip is, it gave me a great idea of how they'll sound together in a full mix.
