Alright, after 3 days of sitting in a hospital, yay, I get the knife this a.m.

Bout time!!

Then 2 to 3 more days in post op care. Morphine levels have been way kazy!!

Man, that just down right sucks!

I f'd my ankle about 3 weeks ago. Thought I was on my last step in my house and had one more to go. My ankle buckled to the side and I thought I heard a crunch. An hour later it was the size of a grapefruit with massive bruising. Could have sworn I broke it but was just a very severe sprain. I've been limping around now for weeks with a brace. F'n up your ankle/leg really sucks. I have been playing guitar much more though.

Update 2:30am PST
Surgery was over 2 hours involved shaving off 2 bone ends, adding 2 plates, reinforcement rod, and some screws.
Outcome? 100% success!!
Attitude? Feels so incredibly good now (compared to laying in the hospital for 2.5 days with it just blown apart and swelling) that I'm confident in a QUICK turnaround time. Should be an interesting week!

Thank YOU Cats for all the mojo and good vibes, it obviously paid off for sure. Mega thanks.

Yes m'man, indeed, where the lush jungle meets the ocean, and the surf fires all-day everywhere! My nirvana, and indeed a place to heal physically, and strengthen spiritually for sure.

Trip cancelled - surgeon's recommendation. No travel, as little mobilization as possible. And oh, right, not a snowball's chance in hell of getting medical insurance to leave the country.

Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak...

Damn dude....that blows. Still, at least the prognosis is good, so it's not like you'll never surf again. Listen to your doc, get healed up as fast as humanly possible, and then get back into the tubes, man.

Glad you're fixed up. I'm liking that part about 100% success.
Sucks about your trip though bro...next time you get a chance to take some time off just make it twice as long.

Glad the surgery went well Mo - hope everything from here on out is much easier for you man.

No more nasty joint blowouts bro - any more metal and you'll have to hit on robots instead :D
