Anyone have any clips? I stumbled upon the '08 NAMM vid but the dude playing spent more time on the EG5. I'm actually very interested in this thing for a lead module.

My 2c, T/D on the T channel.
 
When I ordered my M4, I was sure I wanted the COD.

I went to the amp lounge, and it didn't seem like it was for me. I ended up getting an SL2 in place of the COD.

Now, I think I need a COD. :( :rock:
 
Thanks guys for all the great comments. I'm not at all happy with my playing as it was a really "off" day for me, but the tone is there, which is why i posted it! Recorded w/ a Celestion G12T75. Still love those speakers. One of my favorites, along with my Weber Blue Dogs, Celestion G12K100s, and Celestion Elite 80s.

I have a g12t75 coming this week and when ever my m4 gets here it has a COD in it. :)
 
My COD sounds a bit like a wonderful Fender Prosonic amp I had (but was way too loud to use at home)

I like it used with a humbucker for lead lines that need a bit more cut but dont need huge amounts of gain
Great for emulating players like Matthias Jabs from the Scorpions

I use it alongside my SL2 - the SL2 provides a great beefy Marshall tone and rhe COD seems to have more cut and is great to switch to to weave lyrical lead lines into hard rock


I was worried that I wouldnt like it before my Eggie M4 arrived but it is proving to be a favourite
I wouldnt chose it over the SL2 but wouldnt want to be without it

My current favourite setup seems to be T/d (or Bman), COD, SL2 and EG5 (although I am curious to try the MHG)
 
Erics clip sold me on this module and boy am I glad it did! Break out the single coils and the COD is a rich and dynamic experience. Stellar module.
 
Anybody got a clip with more gain?

I'm looking for a good lead module that cuts through well in a mix and have enough gain for some serious shredding and I think the COD would suit my needs but I'm not sure just how much gain you can crank out of it... :rock:

COD doesn't have enough gain for serious shredding. no way.

You either need an EG-5 or an EG-3/4 :rock:

I agree with Gene here. The COD is meant for more mid-gain stuff...has about 65-70% of the gain that a EG3/4 or EG5 or SL2 does.

I agree with everyone else here. COD is absolutely not for shredding.
